Norwegian Neat Opens Hub in San Jose
The Norwegian video technology company Neat has opened its first U.S. office and experience center near Santana Row in San Jose. "With key clients like Zoom and Microsoft in the area, San Jose was the natural choice for our first U.S. office," says CEO Janine Pelosi.
The 10,887-square-foot facility near Santana Row and Westfield Valley Fair will serve as a workspace for Neat's employees and a showroom where clients can experience Neat's video conference products.
Janine Pelosi, former CMO at Zoom, was a high-profile hire when she took over as CEO for Neat last year, replacing Norwegian co-founder and former CEO Simen Teigre.
"Even though I've spent my entire career in video communications, I know there's no substitute for connecting in person. AÂ product showcase in San Jose to welcome our customers and partners is key to our continued success," Pelosi says.
Founded in 2019 by former Tandberg executives, Neat aims to take video meetings to the next level. The company focuses heavily on Zoom and Microsoft Teams compatibility. Zoom is also a key investor. According to Growjo, Neat currently has approximately 400 employees, and the estimated annual revenue is around $163 million. The headquarters is in Norway.
Thirty employees will work from the San Jose office, with more expected to join as Neat continues to hire for technical and go-to-market roles.
According to Pelosi, Neat's San Jose expansion is critical to Neat’s global strategy, while the US is a key market. The company plans to grow its presence in London and double the footprint of its Oslo headquarters. With its innovative video collaboration devices and strong leadership team, Neat is well-positioned to continue revolutionizing how businesses meet and communicate.
