Snoop Dogg’s appearance on Kai Cenat’s “Mafiathon 2” took an unexpected turn when the rapper was introduced to a humanoid robot from the Norwegian company 1X Technologies. Fans quickly nicknamed the machine “Snoop-Bot.”
The rapper entertained viewers with his trademark humor, joking, “He knows who his master is … I’m gonna get you a robo-b—h, know what I’m talking about?”
The chat had lively reactions as Snoop Dogg tested the high-tech gift.
The robot, developed by 1X Technologies, features advanced capabilities, including “embodied learning,” which allows it to understand language, move autonomously, and perform tasks like opening doors. The company designs humanoid robots to assist humans in industries such as healthcare and logistics.
1X Technologies, based in Norway, recently expanded to Silicon Valley with a new office in Sunnyvale, California. The location supports teams focused on AI data collection, customer service, and operations for its robots, EVE and NEO.
The company secured significant funding in late 2023 and early 2024. Swedish venture firm EQT Ventures joined as an investor in the company’s latest $100 million Series B funding round.
